Glamorama an all night party venue with an electronica music focus and some whacky eats, which is set to open on Thursday 12th November.
Offering an extensive drinks menu including the largest range of Australian whiskies, you can rest assured these guys will have your beverage of choice covered. The kitchen will be manned by previous head chef of Sweet Water Inn, Shaun Hansen, serving up familiar dishes with some not-so-familiar features. Think vegan chicken wings, lamington-fried ice cream and ‘botox’ pies with sauce syringes.
For those up for the whole shebang, get in amongst the large dancefloor or sidle up for some cocktails at the bar. But if you’re just keen to check out the space and kick back, you can take up a seat in one of the venue’s private booths. Whatever your choice, make sure to head on down to Melbourne’s new bar, Glamorama, when it opens its doors on Thursday 12th with a free set from British DJ Ben Pearce. We’ll see you there!
Ben is very much an underground DJ first-and-foremost, aided in no small part by his vast musical knowledge and the ability to play across a wide range of musical genres. His skills behind the decks have not gone un-noticed, as shown by high-profile sets alongside the likes of Simian Mobile Disco, Tensnake and Claptone. Ben’s break came in 2013 being named DJ Mag's Best Breakthrough Producer with his huge single “What I Might Do” and follow up for Le Youth, Kwabs and Tender Games. Ben last tor he played one of the stand out sets at Let Them Eat Cake, dont miss this oppurtunity to see him at the opening night of Glamorama on the brand new Funktion-One sound system.
