Sun 16th Oct. Perth, Connections

Techno fans, it's your cue to salivate: two of Berghain's most influential DJs, Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock are bringing their synapse-searing brand of mentalism to Australia for the first time this October.

Whether its his stunning remix of Fever Ray 'Seven' and debut longplayer on Ostgut Ton, or tension-building DJ sets that have become the stuff of legend, Marcel Dettmann always dishes up something special. Indeed, the Berliner
pours Detroit's oil into European engines, puts British bass music under the control of Chicago's very own Jack, cuts classics with abstract nuances and connects yesterday with tomorrow and today.

Ben Klock's name is synonymous with the revitalisation of techno. The DJ/producer has played at Berghain since it's opening and has made the main room his own with his hypnotic, deep and heavy grooves. Releasing records on Ostgut Ton and his own revered Klockworks imprint, he enjoyed was a standout in 2010, highlighted when his 'Berghain 04' mix compilation was judged best of the year by respected tastemakers Resident Advisor.

No club symbolises Berlin's position at the clubbing zenith more than Berghain. It is recognised the world over as hotbed of decadence and hedonism and is home to brain-crunching, hypnotic techno that feels like it was created just to be played in the former power planet in Friedrichshain

For those who've experience the Berghain mentalism firsthand and the unlucky buggers who haven't, Dettmann and Klock's maiden tour of Australia is unmissable in every respect.
