House DJ and producer Octo Octa first made a name for herself appearing in the early 2010’s on the 100% Silk label. Her releases, including 2013’s Between Two Selves and this year’s Where Are We Going are deeply personal, exploring her queerness and coming to terms with her identity. This sense of narrative makes her excellent brand of deep house strike even deeper. Expressive and engaging, Octo Octa’s music is also rich and dazzling. And 2017 has really cemented her profile as one of the most exciting artist working today.
